What you need to know about how to greet in Javanese?
Bellow is Javanese Greeting, in the parenthesis is the spelling. Some of phrase will have long explanation as it is has different meaning in different context.

Greetings
Before you learn how to greet in Javanese language, you must learn that in Javanese language has level. The level is showing the politely level of language and the usage of the language. They are Ngoko, Kromo Madya and Kromo Inggil.
- Ngoko : is the lowest level of the language, usually this language also call as impolite language. The usage of the language is, conversation between friends/close friends/friends who has same level, same age, conversation between people who is older to younger people (but in common as the older people teach young people to be polite, older people will use polite language to younger people)
- Kromo Madya: is the middle level of language which can be use to speak to all level.
- Kromo Inggil: is the highest level of language which is use to speak to someone who is older than you and to speak to someone who has high social level.
Below this, both greeting which is using all the level, I will give some sign which language is polite (P) or impolite (imp).
- Sugeng enjang (soogeng enjung) - good morning (P)
- Sugeng siyang (soogeng seeyung) - good afternoon (P)
- Sugeng sonten (soogeng sonten) - good evening (P)
- Sugeng (n)dalu (soogeng nthuloo) - good night (P)
- Kulo nuwun (koolo noowoon) - anybody home? (P)
- Pareng (pureng) - see you (use to say goodbye when people leaving a house after visit) (P)
- (n)Dherek langkung (nderek lunkoong) - excuse me (use to say excuse me when you passing by someone) (P)
- Piye kabare? (peeye kubure?) - how are you? (imp) answer: apik (upeek) - fine (imp)
- Pripun pawartosipun (preepoon puwurtoseepoon?) - how are you (P) answer : sae (sue) - fine (P)
